“We challenged the Cowshed by booking it for classic car rally participants with very high standards, who would never think of booking pods for themselves. They loved it! The Cowshed pods are very well equipped with toilet and shower, and the staff are exceptionally sympathetic and helpful. Rally staff stayed in the bunk rooms and also found them very comfortable - one of my best sleeps on the rally so far! And the views are just breathtaking...”

What an amazing place
“What an amazing place! As a family of four with kids aged 4 & 7, we visited The Cowshed for a Hogmanay getaway. Everything about our stay was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and approachable. We booked a camping pod which was clean, modern and fully equipped with everything you could ask for. They all have stunning views over Uig bay and there are so many local walks and tourist attractions within a short drive for all ages to explore. The boutique hostel is first class and we enjoyed bringing in the New Year celebrating with guests travelling from as far as Singapore to soak up the authentic Scottish Hogmanay experience (and Harris gin!). Thanks for allowing our daughter to showcase her Scottish Highland dancing, for the staff who created a memorable stay for all, and also to the St Andrews Scouts group for kicking off the Hogmanay party atmosphere! “This was an excellent stop in our road trip around Scotland! Lovely, helpful staff, and great amenities such as full use of a community kitchen, a tiny pantry with essentials to purchase, laundry facilities, board games, cozy couches, free coffee and tea, and a vibe that exudes peace and friendliness. We stayed 3 nights in the bunk rooms and could have easily stayed 2-3 more!”

“Such an amazing and friendly place to stay over the weekend or a week when going to visit Isla of Skye, Uig. The best choice in my opinion that gave us the opportunity to be more in contact with nature. I had a great time here with my partner, we were needing some peace and quiet place to relax.
